I personally love watching infomercials, just for the comedy aspect. But please don’t get carried away and actually make a purchase!!!

There’s a new infomercial out that made me chuckle…essentially it’s a friendship bracelet that gives you strength (pay close attention to the oh-so-realistic demonstration).  And I’m sure millions of people across the country are just dying to spend their money to get their hands on one…go figure!

REAL LIFE EXAMPLE
My friend got sucked in around 8am some Sunday morning and ordered the P90X system for $300! Trust me, she doesn’t even have $300 worth of fat to lose!!! MAYBEEEE $8 worth of fat. But that’s stretching it.

Put A Ring On It?

It’s June – the month of Bridezillas…and it’s about to get ugly…get ready to comment ladies!!! (and gentleman, I want to hear from you too!)

WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH $30,000.00?
A friend of mine mentioned that a good friend of hers recently got engaged and that her ring cost $30,000 (how she knows this as fact, I don’t know – but let’s just take her word for it). My friend also mentioned that she expected for her future fiance (whoever he may be) to be able to give her a ring in that price range, as well.

My immediate thoughts were somewhere in the range of: “Does she really think her engagement ring should be worth the price of a down payment on a home???
…really?
…REALLY???
No. It’s realllly not worth it!”
Instead of voicing these thoughts, I probably just smiled and nodded and masked my disgust. Please don’t fall into this materialistic trend and base the value of his love on the cost of the ring. Seriously, that’s just STUPID!!!

Introducing "Dolla Thug Says"

I’d like to introduce you to a new section of my blog…called “Dolla Thug Says”…now that I think about it, it’s kind of like Suze Orman’s “Can I Afford it?” except Dolla Thug’s answer is always “NO – you have been declined, now use that money for something worthwhile!!”

And by the way, my friends & family practically write this section for me!!  Here’s a real life example below:

PROBLEM: If you find yourself looking at a toaster with a price tag of $89.99??…

SOLUTION: Dolla Thug says, “It better come with a year’s supply of stale bread and free limo service.  Now take your @$$ out of crate & barrel and get to Target!  You can definitely find a decent toaster to heat some Pop Tarts up for <$9.99 somewhere else!”
